Week Number Two – Friends of Scouting

We are off to a great start.  Last week, we had an awesome turnout for the ice-cream kickoff event.  21 boys participated by giving at least $1.  We have 21 parents donating and let’s all pitch in towards getting 100% participation in our troop.

The friends of Scouting program is to help our friends in Aloha Council. Helping others is part of the core values of Scouting and the Friends of Scouting program is to to help sustain and expand scouting in Hawaii.   Scouting has helped countless amount of people including the approximately 50 boys in our troop.  Our yearly dues don’t cover the entire cost of Scouting in Hawaii.  Did you know that it costs Aloha Council $175 to support one of our scouts per year?  100% of your contribution stays in Hawaii and is 100% tax deductible.  Your donation provides for activities such as summer camp at Pupukea and camporee.

Thank you very much for those of you who have donated to a great organization that has positively shaped the lives of our boys.
